ABOUT

Daniel Belquer is a interdisciplinary artist that focuses on innovative live experiences.

At the core of his vision is a simple belief: every medium provides us with different ways for us to connect with each other and the natural world. Daniel creates works to invite people into that connection.

Daniel Belquer blends music and performing arts with tools like vibration-based surfaces, interactive objects, and instruments he builds. He often works with sound, video, light, and robotic elements, treating them as extensions of his artistic expression.

As a Latin American immigrant, Daniel brings his Brazilian heritage to his work as a spice, adding color and vitality to whatever he does.
As the Chief Vibrational Officer of Music:Not Impossible, Belquer helped create haptic suits that turn music into vibration. It allows both deaf and hearing audiences to feel music together. This work has been recognized with the Edison Gold Award, Fast Company’s Next Big Thing in Tech, and Time Magazine’s Best Inventions, among other accolades.
His own projects, such as Astrocelium, Persona, A-Faust, and I Mean You, explore how different media can come together to represent a layered metaphysical take in the form of non-linear narratives.
Daniel is currently a Resident Artist at Drexel University’s ExCITe Center, collaborating with researchers and engineers, on new approaches to creative education and performance. He also leads workshops and residencies across the U.S., Europe, and Brazil. With his contemporary music background, his approach to technology is always grounded in artistic and social sensitivity, ecology, and inclusivity.
